Domestic bourses are expected to open higher on Monday amid positive global cues. Besides, owing to a lack of other major domestic triggers, market participants may limit themselves to stock-specific developments, the Rupee's trajectory and oil price movement.

Further, banking-related stocks and financials could be in focus today, after the RBI panel recommended several changes in the banking industry.

Moreover, Reliance Industries will also be in focus today after the Competition Commission of India cleared RIL's bid to buy Future group's retail, wholesale and logistics assets amid legal battle with Amazon.

On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 43882.25 up by 282.29 points or by 0.65 % and then NSE Nifty was at 12859.05 up by 87.35 points or by 0.68 %.

On the global front, US stocks closed lower on Friday as investors wrestled with fiscal stimulus developments, concerns over a lengthy rollout of vaccines, and a growing number of state-level shutdowns to combat the spiraling COVID-19 pandemic.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 219.95 points, or 0.75%, to 29,263.28, the S&P 500 lost 24.22 points, or 0.68%, to 3,557.65 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 49.74 points, or 0.42%, to 11,854.97.

However, Asian shares edged up to record highs on Monday morning. Trading activity was thin early in the Asian day, with Japanese markets closed for a holiday. Seoul’s Kospi was 1.5 per cent higher and Australia's ASX 200 gained half a per cent.

On NSE, total number of shares traded was 33.18 Crore and total turnover stood at Rs. 73088.56 Crore.

On NSE Future and Options, total number of contracts traded in index futures was 607125 with a total turnover of Rs. 48280.72 Crore. Along with this total number of contracts traded in stock futures were 1169539 with a total turnover of Rs. 91496.53 Crore. Total numbers of contracts for index options were 21075652 with a total turnover of Rs. 1718294.25 Crore. and total numbers of contracts for stock options were 2210489 with a total turnover of Rs. 183535.94 Crore.

The FIIs on 20/11/2020 stood as net buyer in equity and debt. Gross equity purchased stood at Rs. 11693.80 Crore and gross debt purchased stood at Rs. 347.36 Crore, while the gross equity sold stood at Rs. 9505.64 Crore and gross debt sold stood at Rs. 1113.67 Crore. Therefore, the net investment of equity and debt reported were Rs. 2188.16 Crore and Rs. -766.31
